  • Launched a website that primarily focuses on the distribution of video tutorials that I record for others to utilize and learn from.

Youtorial, Gainesville FL (2010 – 2011)

  • Contracted to create an exclusive learning series on how to create an animated cartoon in Flash.
  • Created three follow up series: Introduction to Flash Basics, Installing a WordPress Website and Designing a WordPress Website.

LearnKey, Salt Lake City UT (2010)

  • Was contracted to do a six hour video series on how to use Adobe Flash CS5
  • Two versions were filmed for both Windows and Mac platforms
  • Series prepares viewer for ACA Certification

Cinevegas 11th Annual Film Festival, Las Vegas NV (2009)

  • Worked as a volunteer staff member at the 2009 Cinevegas film festival.  My duties included filming but mostly editing the events that took place at the festival.  These clips were then featured on the Cinevegas website and festival floor.

Lilredhead Designs (self-employed), Dickinson ND (2008 – 2010)

  • Mainly focused on viral marketing for other businesses through animated and live action video shorts.
  • Created animated Flash assets and eCards for companies.
  • Filmed and edited local weddings and theater productions for Living Room Productions.
  • Filmed and edited an audition video for a family for Extreme Home Makeover.
  • This endeavour eventually evolved into the multimediaGEEKS partnership

The Dickinson Press and Advertiser, Dickinson ND (2006 – 2007)

  • Involved in uploading and distributing The Dickinson Press online through the OLIVE system.
  • Worked with Quark and Photoshop to build ads.
  • Burned plates for The Dickinson Press to be printed.
  • Worked with other publications to ensure quality in their products.

Walmart, Dickinson ND (2006)

  • Worked in the Home Entertainment Department.  My duties included running the register, helping customers with products and zoning the department.

Other Information

  • In 2010 I became a member of the Dickinson Young Professionals network which does service, social and other events around the Dickinson community.
  • In 2010 I enrolled at Arizona State University where I am currently studying film and media studies
  • Attended Dickinson State University (Dickinson, ND) for three and a half years (2004 – 2007).  In Fall 2007 I made it on the Dean’s List with a 3.5 GPA.
  • Co-founded and co-ran the Dickinson State University Filmmakers Organization.  During its three year life span the DSU Filmmakers became the largest club on campus and won the 2006 DSU Outstanding Club/Organization award.  Other achievements I had while involved with the DSU Filmmakers: creating numerous films, producing, directing and writing a sitcom that ran for two seasons on the local campus TV channel and co-ran a community involved film festival.
  • Was featured on the front page of The Dickinson Press.  The article talked about the history and future of the DSU Filmmakers Club.  A follow up article covered our film festival.
  • On a few occasions I was asked to speak in Dr. Kenneth Haught’s Video Production Class (Dickinson State University).  During these lectures I went over my film experiences and showed the students how to do basic special effects in their movies.  I was also asked to speak about Flash for one class period in my Web Development class.
  • Created an Alcohol Awareness video in 2007 for the Alcohol Awareness Through the Arts Program.
  • My cartoon series, Enterprise: Flashed, was showcased at the Museum of the Moving Image in New York City as part of a Star Trek Fan Film event.  I was also asked to contribute to a book on fan films and wrote a passage about Enterprise: Flashed in it.
