Youtorial Shutting Down

I was informed yesterday (August 25th) that Youtorial will be shutting down.  Due to server costs and dwindling interest, the service is no longer  financially viable to support.  Current customers can view their lessons up until September 31st.  After that, the tutorials will no longer be available to anyone through the Youtorial service.

Youtorial was a platform that allowed the streaming of interactive tutorials.  I thought it was a great tool when it came to online instruction and created four tutorial series for this service, one of which proved to be very popular (How to Make an Animated Flash Cartoon).  I received many comments on how the platform was great for learning new software.  Unfortunately, the platform’s lifespan was brief.

I have not decided what I will do with the four Youtorial series.  Originally I was under contract to keep the series exclusive to the service, but that is no longer an issue.  I don’t think it’s fair to let them die, so it’s something I will need to mull over.  I will be making an announcement in the coming days on what I plan to do so stay tuned for more information!
